where it all began

company history

In 1939, Richard Yeager won the bid to deliver coal to the Hazleton School District. Problem was ‘Dick’ didn’t have a truck or coal supplier. But Dick did have heart and determination. Not only did he fulfill his contract but laid the groundwork for the Lehigh Valley’s Premier Heating and Cooling Company. As Pennsylvania Dutch, the Yeager Family was accustomed to quality hard work.

Dick’s youngest son, Jim, eventually bought the company from his father in 1972. Yeager’s Fuel thrived under Jim’s direction with the addition of heating oil and air condition. Jim also built their new office headquarters and added an integrated Service and Installation Department.

Today, Jim’s son-in-law, Tony Malandra operates the largest privately owned full-service oil heat company in Allentown. Highway fuel sales also grew when Yeager’s Fuel opened the first Pacific Pride Commercial Fueling Station in the Lehigh Valley.

Yeager’s Fuel continues to succeed in our ever-changing environment because we understand that our products and services are only as good as the people who provide them, Yeager’s technicians and staff. Let our family serve your family. Yeager’s means service.
